CACFP

Child and Adult Care Food Program
The Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) offers financial reimbursements to childcare providers for serving nutritious meals to children in their care. The program also assures parents that their child is receiving healthy, nutritious meals and snacks while in the childcare setting. Children learn proper eating habits at a young age, encouraging healthy eating for a lifetime.

Participating providers are required to submit daily menus of meals served. The meals must meet nutritional standards determined by the United States Department of Agriculture. Nutrition education and assistance with menu planning are provided through workshops and in-home visits.
