Parent Partner
The Parent Partner program is a parent advocacy program partnering with families that have experienced having a child removed from the home by the Department of Human Services.
Parent Partners serve as mentors who support other parents who are struggling to keep their family together and to successfully parent.
Parent Partners are parents whose life experience is seen as valued education.
The Parent Partner program believes that the family is the foundation for healthy children regardless of how the family got where they are today. All parents have strengths and challenges and have made mistakes. All parents need to be supported in building on their strengths as they identify and address concerns.
Staff members will match parents with a Parent Partner who has gone through similar circumstances. Parent Partners are willing to commit to working with parents, not as counselors but as people whose life experience has taught them a lot about both success and struggles. Start today to turn things around for you and your family.
