Self Sufficiency Advocates for Individual Life Skills (SAIL)

Self Sufficiency Advocates for Individual Life Skills (SAIL) provides services that promote, empower, and nurture families towards economic and emotional self-sufficiency. SAIL will provide you with the support and encouragement needed to build on your strengths. The foundation of the SAIL program is the partnership between the individual and their Family Development Specialist working one on one to create meaningful change.

What are the Benefits of the SAIL Program?

  • The program is free and voluntary

  • We meet with you in your own home

  • We will meet with you at least one time per month

  • You will receive support and encouragement to build on the strengths you already have

  • We will assist in connecting to resources such as housing, food and energy assistance, transportation, counseling, and parent education

  • You will be supported to identify your priorities, set goals, and celebrate progress in moving towards self-sufficiency
